Point Pleasant has really done a great job in attracting and fulfilling the demands of the paranormal tourer of today and taking full advantage of the mothman legends. Point Pleasant has created and erected a very imposing stainless steel statue called the Mothman Statue. It has built a Mothman museum, and even sells Mothman merchandise by the ton

 

 The Mothman Statue was placed in downtown Pt. Pleasant to commemorate the bizarre events of 1966-67 when a inconceivable creature, named the "Mothman" was seen by hundreds of people.
