Mothman
The
Mothman is the name and description
passed on to an unusual being or creature, reported in
the Charleston and Point Pleasant areas of West Virginia 'tween Nov 12, 1966, near Clendenin, and December 1967.
Just about all observers depict the Mothman as a winged
manlike beast with prominent mirror like blood-red
eyeballs and immense moth-like wings.
The beast often
appeared to have no head, with its eyeballs set into its
chest area. A number of speculations have been laid out to
explain all the eyewitness accounts, ranging from mere
misidentification and happenstance, paranormal
phenomena and even multiply conspiracy
theories.
There have been
Mothman accounts from around the world
as well, sightings at ill-famed historical incidents such
as the 1986 Chernobyl accident and the 1985 capital
of Mexico earthquake. It's been encountered
in other places around the globe, most of the time right
before major catastrophes. Evidently the supernatural
beast best-known as the Mothman, appearances seem to
foretell disastrous events.
